The registered office satisfies the company's statutory communication requirement. Banks and licensing authorities are usually more interested in where the business actually operates. Separating the two reduces misunderstanding after incorporation.

Fee timeline
RM1899 is the one-off company registration fee. After incorporation, the company must appoint a company secretary and handle statutory annual compliance filings. The three fee items are not hidden inside a vague all-in price.
Company secretary fee is RM89/month, calculated from the official appointment date and collected 12 months in advance.
This is charged near the first statutory filing cycle, not on the date of incorporation.
Total yearly service fee is RM2268. The secretary renewal and Annual Compliance fee may be billed separately based on their respective due periods.
Bookkeeping and financial statement preparation, audit, LHDN tax filing, late penalties, complex corporate changes and additional government fees not listed will be quoted separately.
Incorporation is only the first step. Owners usually need to handle banking, tax, employer registration and annual compliance matters afterwards.
Use incorporation documents and bank resolution to apply for a company bank account, and pay attention to LHDN tax file, tax deadlines and tax agent arrangements.
If the company hires employees, employer registration, contribution payment and applicable PCB responsibilities should be handled.
Handle Annual Return, BO, financial statements and applicable audit or audit exemption matters on time.
Changes to directors, shareholders, address, share transfer and other matters require proper documents and formal submission.

Yes. Foreigners may own a Malaysian Sdn. Bhd., but the company needs at least one director aged 18 or above who principally resides in Malaysia.
Yes. A qualified single-member company may have the same person as sole director and sole shareholder, provided the director satisfies the Malaysian residency requirement.
Generally yes. A qualified single-member company may be 100% owned by one person. Certain regulated industries, foreign-owned businesses or licence applications may have additional conditions.
Yes. The RM1068/year company secretarial package includes a statutory registered office address. Your business address may be a home office, office or co-working space depending on the business, but banks, licensing bodies and other parties may request additional proof.
Yes. Under the legal requirement, a Sdn. Bhd. must appoint at least one qualified company secretary within 30 days after incorporation.
At incorporation, RM1899 registration fee and RM1068 first 12 months company secretary fee are payable, totaling RM2967. Before the first Annual Compliance, RM1200 is payable. Thereafter, company secretary RM1068 plus Annual Compliance RM1200 total RM2268 per year. Bookkeeping, audit and LHDN tax filing fees are not included.
